MX split collar mounting brackets

MX4000 series of light curtains are designed to be mounted through split collar mounting brackets on each ending of emitter and detector units. The mounting hardware offered also includes vibration dumping rubber mounts. Please download the application note “Mounting of the MX4000 light curtains” for more details.
Two types of mounting brackets are currently offered:

  • rugged injection molding plastic
  • heavy duty solid aluminum

Plastic brackets are the most popular option for most applications and they are easy to mount (screws included).
They are sold as a package set of 4 brackets including vibration dumping rubber mounts (part # 02-4007-04)

Aluminum brackets are the toughest mounting option and they are as easy to mount as the plastic units (screws included).
They are sold as a package set of 4 brackets including vibration dumping rubber mounts (part # 02-4008-04)

Connecting cables for junction blocks

The table below shows the cables needed to connect junction blocks.
The 55-4013-XX are used to connect to the power supply and safety relays normally used in most applications.
The 55-4004-XX are used to connect the MX4000 emitter units to the junction block.

Parameterization tools for MX4100/MX4200 light curtains

The factory set parameters can be changed by the user with a parameterization tool.
The MX series light curtains can be provided with two different models of hand-held easy to access and easy to use teach tools. The advantages of using this tool are apparent when compared to some competitor models that use tiny DIP switches located at the bottom of
detector units, often making it very inconvenient to access them; while other models require a laptop computer.
All units are provided with an ON / OFF key switch selector and a ring guarded teach button with a built in indicator light, which turns on
when the key selector is in the “ON” position.

MX4100-PT and MX4200-PT

Parameterization/Teach-in tool for MX4100/MX4200 light curtains (hand-held, with pass-through connection)

This rugged aluminum portable unit is designed to be connected when required. The 8 & 12 conductor cables are for the MX4100 and MX4200 light curtains respectively.
These units are designed to float between the detector unit and the cable that normally connects to the detector.

MX4000-PB

Parameterization/Teach-in tool for MX4100/MX4200 light curtains (hand-held, connects to a junction block)

This model is available in a rugged plastic enclosure with a 1.5 meter pre-wired 5 conductor cable ready to be plugged into any one of the junction blocks.

Mirrors

ISB Mirrors allow a pair of ISB MX Safety Light Curtains to protect multiple sides of a machine, resulting in a significant cost savings.

  • Heavy Duty Aluminum Extrusion construction.

  • Available for all sizes of MX Safety Lights from 300mm (12”) through 1800mm (72”).

  •  Supplied end brackets contain split collar mounts for angular adjustment.

Please note: Due to optical losses at each mirror, the safety lights scanning distance range will be reduced by a factor of 15% per mirror.
